Hot Yoga, Tennis and Andy Murray

Andy Murray, the famous British tennis player has 11 Grand Slam Finals and 3 titles to his credit. Add to that three Olympic medals for his country and an ATP title, and we have a world class player competing in the top league against the best in the world. To compete and continuously be among the top people in the world, requires him to be extremely fit. Hot Yoga has been of great help to him and he believes it keeps him fit, both mentally and physically. He has been a practitioner of Bikram Yoga for the past 10 years.

Bikram, which was invented by the Los Angeles-based Bikram Choudhury more than 30 years ago, is not without its critics, who dislike the way the discipline has been turned into a money-making venture and worry that exercising in extreme heat can cause injuries as well as help to prevent them. Practicing Bikram Yoga at temperatures of 40 degree helps to sweat out the harmful toxins from the body, thus reducing the chances of falling sick.

Not only that, Yoga has helped him become mentally strong and focused, something that is required from a sport like  tennis, especially when you are competing for the likes of Rafael Nadal, Rodger Federer, and Novak Djokovic.
