15 minute power yoga sequence to build core strength

When you have spent countless hours in the gym but six pack abs still manages to linger around as your goal, below specified sequence of power yoga poses while definitely be your stepping stone to success. These power yoga poses will not only aid you in building your core strength but will also fortify your overall vigor.

  1. Plank:

How to perform:

  • Lie down on the mat with chest touching it.
  • Push up your upper body in a way that the weight is resting on your elbows and stabilize your lower body on your toes.
  • Your body should look like a straight line while balancing.
  • Hold the position for 30 seconds to one minute.
  • You will feel your core burning! Resume and repeat for five times.

  1. Down dog:

How to perform:

  • Balance the entire weight of your build on your palms and knees.
  • Now straighten the knees as you lengthen your tailbone simultaneously but keeping your palms where they are.
  • Your body will not resemble a V like shape.
  • Stay firm in this position for 3-5 breaths before you begin again.

  1. Garland pose:

How to perform:

  • Fold your hands in a Namaste position.
  • Widen your feet and squat down as much as you can.
  • Make sure you are exhaling while bending.
  • Hold the position for 10-15 seconds before you repeat.

  1. Triangle pose:

How to perform:

  • Stand supine with feet tucked close to each other.
  • Now bend one of your legs and rest it on the other leg. This position should make your lower body look like a triangle.
  • Now shut your eyes and balance your body for as long as you can.
  • Switch your legs and repeat for pose for about ten times.
